+1. For that price I'd much rather keep an eye out for all the Euro bells and whistles on our next Yaris, if we'll ever get them

What do you expect from a forum devoted exclusively to people who don't know which lane they're supposed to drive in?

Sheesh!

I agree....I got my Li' Blue for $11,800. $15k for the iQ is just too much.

Well, I'll say this... if the iQ is DECKED OUT, and I'm talking included navi and stuff like that, then maybe...

Do you think we'll be getting the 1.3L? I'm certainly going to check it out when it lands. Of course, we could always change those terrible Scion badges for the proper Netz and Toyota ones.

99 hp would be pretty peppy in that lil' guy. With a few mods could bump it up a bit. Ooooh Yeeaaahhh! Blow the doors right off the smart thing.

I've heard the IQ would likely be sold with the Yaris' 1.5L here in the USA.

Yup, lots of information, as well as misinformation, and a ton of speculation at this point. Who knows what we'll end up with here in the States. Rather difficult to rely on Toyota America to offer up a decent package given their past record.

we'll know in 8 days when it makes an entrance at NY AUTOSHOW. i'll make sure a take a good shot of that 1.3.......

Well there is no way of actually knowing at this point so it is all speculation. Not sure how you feel one website's speculation of the 1.3 makes all other websites wrong. The 1.3 vs 1.5 is one of the biggest unknowns of the USDM Scion IQ. So take a good shot of whatever you'd like!

Official photos if the Scion iQ Concept:

http://www.subcompactculture.com/2009/04/scion-iq-concept-from-new-york-auto.html

I'm a bit mixed on it. I think it's an over-the-top concept that might trick people into thinking it's something it's not. Then again, it is a concept car, which are often pretty extreme.

The big question to me is it lighter than a Yaris? It would have to be under 2000 lbs and have a independent rear suspension to be worth trading in the Yaris. Otherwise it is just cosmetics.

• The UK-spec iQ weighs 1,940.4 lbs. (manual); 22.05 lbs. more for the auto.
• The car has a torsion-beam rear suspension (just like the Yaris).

I'll say this: They'd better offer the iQ in a manual transmission in the U.S.! If it's auto-only, that'd suck. Then again, America is becoming a "shiftless society." **cough**Yaris 5 door**cough**
