Well, after 3 years of use my interior is pretty scuffed up. I'm not easy on my car by any means, but even if I was I think I'd be showing signs of wear by now as I'm sure a lot of you are.

What is the best way to deal with it? I've considered painting the interior panels, but I have some worries about that, namely what paint tends to do in a hot car interior... give off fumes and give me a headache. Also, painted panels tend to be dust magnets. Wrapping in vinyl, suede, etc. would be awesome but costly as HELL if you paid someone to do it and a giant PITA if you DIY.

Anyone have any alternatives, ideas, pictures, etc.?

I'm just hoping to get some ideas from this thread. IA is only 3 and a half months away.

all the interior or only the doors?
can you post some foto to see the colour?

you can dress it. with what material, depend from the money you can spend. the best of all is alcantara leather.
something cheap is this

The entire interior has some wear, but mostly the back from hauling crap around in the trunk. Nothing that makes it look like a hooptie or anything, but I notice.

I'll snap some pics later on. @ work now.

You need some purple leather interior, like your hero Prince.

It would match the suit Sami wears when she kicks the crap out of you.

why not just clean up interior and forget doing anything for import alliance. coming from a yaris owner who shows his car they won't be looking at the interior panels anyway.....

Eh, its half for IA and half for me. It bothers me. :iono:

If there is no way to fix it easily that isn't a big deal... I just thought someone might have some amazing cure-all for scuffed plastics.

Try waxing it. Try furniture wax.

I haven't really detailed the interior of the Yaris, but on previous cars I've used Turtle Wax F 21 super protectant. It rejuvenates plastic and rubber better than every other product I've used. It works good on those light ashy looking scuffs that plastics like the Yaris' have.

If the wax doesn't work, I've got the entire set of rear plastics that I'll sell you.

I haven't used Turtle Wax F21 yet. Does it leave a glossy finish or flat? How about using it on tire sidewalls?

Maybe you could put some NOS stickers over all of the scratches? Well, that's one idea anyhow.

On plastics it is kind of semigloss, when i use it on tires I wipe the excess off with a rag/sponge and it doesn't make the tires all shiny the tires just look brand new. The cool thing about it is that it doesn't leave a greasy film like armor all, after the tires dry you can touch them and you won't get that black crap all over.

You can also try 303 Aerospace Protectant, its expensive but does hide small scratches on the plastics - for the good looking plastics it makes them like new without the chicken grease residue that some cleaners/protectors leave - I found 303 at Boater's world since they've gone out of business I don't know of where to find it at a local retailer since pep boys/autozone never seem to have any

Isn't your second post a little quick to be making smartass comments to mods? I usually require at least 5 or 6.
