Nice! No chips, peels or fades even after a whole year?
Now the odds look better for those of us who want to paint ours black before the govt. says no:thumbsup:

Hmm...methinks our fiat 124 spyder will have to stick around long enough to try this. I have a feeling there will be lots of free time this summer....

A gallon will do a 68 c20 with an 8 foot bed. I even did the inside of the cab. I had the orange peal out and it was looking good and ready for buffing. I went to drive it to pick up some materials and was blinded by the sun off the hood. I ended up at the paint store getting a new gallon of Rustoleum gray but had a shoot of black in it.
I used 3/4 paint to 1/4 mineral spirits and it took 2 coats. It did need 48 hours to dry. The paint lasted 2 years with some light hauling in the bed.

i tried this on my 86. It really worked well but you need to mess with the consistency between paint and spirits. It's just as much work if you were to paint with actual auto paint.
