Just show up with your car and expect to have a good time. Ok, there's a little bit more that you may need. Here's some reading material.

If you're really interested, next race is May 3rd in Fontana. I can guide you through it.

Thanks Long
Couple questions though: What exactly do they mean by "work"? Also, how much is the registration fee for May 3rd?

Here in SoCal, we race one session out of six and work one session. During the work session, you stand on the course and pick up cones if they get knocked over. You try to do that quickly so that you don't get run over by the next oncoming car. It's fun... kinda.
Here are the costs from last month's race. They haven't posted May's but the fees pretty much stay the same.
Online registration entry $30
Day of competition onsite entry $40
Juniors & Students 24 and younger with current student ID $15
All entrants MUST BE SCCA members. Non-members can purchase an SCCA weekend membership at the event for $15 BEFORE going to registration. Those purchasing a weekend membership will receive a credit of $15 toward the purchase of a yearly SCCA membership.

These go on the ground, not on your head.
