Live in Eugene, Oregon and Sunday was a beautiful day, so the GF and I and the dog took a trip to the coast, and then up the coast a bit. Total trip distance was roughly 250-260miles.

Prior to this trip the best tank of gas I ever got was 44.7x MPG. On this half tank of gas the scanguage reported I got 47.8 MPG.

I always knew that acceleration killed gas milage... but DANG... it's like 10 times worse than what I figured it would be. I tried my best to coast, and not accelerate on this trip. I have trouble understanding how people get over 50 on a tank unless they live in the country and don't have to worry much about traffic.

EDIT:
Oh yeah, I noticed the scanguage has an option to adjust speed..... Do I need to do that? I'm running the upgraded 15" wheels (from the factory)... but I know that 14" was the base for the yaris, Is my speedometer off by a few mph?

If it came with the 15s the speedometer is ok. I have the 15" steel wheels and my scanguage has been accurate with no speed adjustment.

I dont think the vehicles speedometer is calibrated specifically to whatever wheel size happens to be on your vehicle. I think it is just one setting and there is nearly no difference between 14-15 inch. Especially depending on the tire sizes too.

Not enough to make your speedometer off.

Check it against a GPS...

Yea, use a GPS. I use mine and the GPS shows I am going 70 and the speedometer show about 72. There is a little difference, but enough of a difference.
