HELP! SOUNDS LIKE ROCK HITTING WINDSHIELD

Can you help plese? Sometimes I hear what sounds like a rock pinging the windshield or the sidewindows. At first I thought it was another vehicle throwing rocks from its tires....

But lately I'm driving alone with no one else on the highway or street and out of nowhere comes a loud PING.

Friends think its the car body twisting? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA?

From what i found out. Even the tiniest rock hitting the underpanel sounds like a boulder. The yaris has little to no insulation. Many members have tore apart thier enterior and layed thier own sound deadening material like dynomat. I thought the same thing when i got my yaris. One time i was out for like 20minutes with a flashlight at night lookking unde rmy car trying to see what i hit. Finally came to the conclusion for as many times as it sounds like my car is being hit i see no damage it has to be the horrible sound insulation.

Does it happen when your wipers are off? My first inclination is the wiper motor hitting the firewall, but IDK.
