Here is my story. I have a brand new Yaris 3dr LB. I'm coming from an old double wishbone Civic.

I am a little dissapointed in the suspensions/road handling of my Yaris. At 2200lbs I expected it to be a tossable go-cart like my Civic. Well in stock form it just isn't.

Now I am debating throwing $1500 in a TRD suspension and rims/tires at it. But for a few thousand more I could by a project Miata or Spyder. I'd prefer to have my DD be my fun car, but I don't want to drop $1500 in this thing if it isn't going to satisfy.

Would anyone near the York area (1 hr N of Baltimore) care to give me a test ride in their Yaris with a modified suspension so I can get a fell for what potential this car has.

I'm willing to drive a good distance and would greatly appreciate the help. I am an engineer at Harley and not a stalker or anything.

Shoot me a PM if you have the time.

Thanks.

I'd really be interested in your findings after you've completed your test drive. I've been wondering the same thing myself, would a couple thousand dollas worth of mods make the car handle much better? Or would money be better spent some other way, maybe D/P for a new and improved Yaris ;)

I'im coming from Honda Civic as well, and it took *a while* to get used to the Yaris's handling. I don't usually require that much time to transition from one car to the next, but I guess my last car (Honda CRX) was a tough act to follow, lol.

Please let us know what you think after you've completed your test drive.

Yea for me if I can match the Civic with Konis handling with a $1500 investment I'll be happy. If not I would rather use that $1500 toward a project Miata

I would say your best bet may be to go to the meet in Nashville, July 24th. Hear there will be plenty of yaris's around.

1500 should sort a LOT of things

and skip TRD. they're a model of mediocrity
