Striping on my Yaris

I'm thinking about putting some striping on my Yaris.
I made this in Photoshop. What do you think, should I do it or do you have some other ideas? I want to keep it as simple as possible.

I like that a lot. black stripe would look better with tinted windows, OR make the stripe silver to go with the wheels. My taste is for color consistency whenever possible.

I'd go for black because I have the black projectors and I'm waiting for my black taillights (and maybe black side repeaters). So I'm going for a black&grey look.

And the tinting.... on my previous car I had tinted windows. Yes, it looked better, but now I'm glad I can see through them when it's dark.

Same here, I like the stripe, but some tinted windows would help the look. Even if it was a light tint.

I like the stripe, it compliments the lines of the car nicely!

Try Photochopping some tinted windows on that pic with the black stripe and see how it looks!

I made 2 more versions:

It follows the line on the bottom of the doors and then it goes smoothly into the curves of the wheelarch:

Jochen, your first post is the best, how bout if you connected that stripe with another stipe going diagonal from the taillights towards the existing stripe?

I also tried that (and a lot of other things), but I wasn't really satisfied.

Meanwhile, I deceided to go for this one (although the stripe might be a little bit thinner):

Vinyl will be cheaper, paint will look better and last longer. Either would do.

i would do all of them. maybe not the hatch. depends on if there's a spoiler or not. if so then maybe all the way back to the spoiler. if not then down the rear hatch as well. imo.

Indeed i do. Originally it wasn't done by myself...but by the dealer. But i had to find someone to do it for the spoiler.

The whole thing on mine is vinyl, not painted. I guess Vinyl won't last as long....but at least u'll be able to take it off if you get bored of it later or sell the car and the next owner doesn't like it. :laugh:

Just the spoiler the other day was about $80. Which is pretty expensive, but it was someone that comes to the bodyshop which installed the sides/spoiler for me. So i didn't go looking for a cheaper place. Or that might be a normal price.

Im guessing the whole car would be like $300-350 possibly.

I was able to get my whole car striped for the price of that spoiler :eyebulge: I had a sign shop print and put it on.

That is so awesome @tengys! I have no idea what to do to my car. I prefer to remove stuff so adding vinyl is a tough choice but my front looks so plain :(
