Long story short while I was in seattle for vacation my yaris threw a cel. I got it back to Spokane and was told it was a lean code that threw twice. Now four weeks later I have another cel. The only thing done engine wise is a cai by Fujita. They told me last time it could have been caused by the intake. But they recommended 89 octane instead of 87. So Ive been doing it since its first cel.Any ideas why? The yaris just hit 10k.Well anyways the damn thing goes in thursday.Im not rough on the car by anymeans its all highway driving most of the time. This time it came on from a start in first to get merging.Last time it was at idle. Thanks guys!:iono:

have you double checked the intake is installed properly, that there's no air leak at the joint where to connects to the throttle body? That's the usual suspect...

Well I checked all my clamps and everything is good and tight. the dealership replaced my air flow sensor today, they said to try it out and see if it fixes the code.Anyone else running into this problem?

I am not having the problem but CAI in my experience are useless and can only cause problems with today's sensitive electronics.

If you are using a intake system with a oil filter you have to be careful since the oils can get onto the maf sensor wire. Now this coatst he wire and makes it kinda sticky and as dirt bypases the filter and it will since its high flow it will stick to the maf sensor. Usually you can fix this by simply cleaning the filter or what they dealer did by changing it.

Fujita runs a dry filter. That was one thing i took into consideration.
