I just purchased a set of Tanabe DF210s for my 2009 LB and am hoping to not go through the expense of replacing the stock struts with higher performance ones. Does anyone have experience using these springs with the stock struts? I'm wondering if the DFs will cause the stock struts to blow more quickly or what?

Good to hear! How long have you been running the new springs with the stock struts?

I've had mine on for a year and 47k miles, no problems so far.

Tanabe DF210's and stock struts for only a couple of months...rides fine...looks like a few others though have logged more miles and have been OK.

Good to hear. I heard some horror stories of these springs installed on different makes/models and blowing the stock struts after only a few weeks. Glad to see this isn't happening with the Yaris.
DF210's with stock struts for around a year, 30K miles. Rides perfect so far.
i've heard the spring rate on the df's isn't that much higher than stock - just A LOT lower stance! if the bump stops are cut properly i'm assuming it's not 'that' bad on the stock shocks/struts? i hope that's true- i bought df's and don't plan on putting aftermarket shocks/struts on just yet.

This is true. IMO the spring rate needs to be a bit firmer. I always rub over bumps and hard turns :frown:

had them on 11 months now and 15000 miles, still rides like day one, just pay attention for potholes, and go slow over speed bumps, which the first time you go over one too fast you will know why I said slow as the whole frame of car will hit it and slide down bump, then your exhaust if hyou have a aftermarket one like i do will clunk on the bump......
you get used to it,but they ride great, and car feels much better, also passengers are fine till you go over speed bumps too,may as well have them get out as you may drag ove rthe bump, depends on size of bump and passenger.

Also the dragging bumps only started when I put the stock wheels and tires back on for winter,my 17s let the car sit about 1/2"taller from frame to ground, just enough to keep me off the bumps....
