How to Protect the Exterior Black Plastic and Rubbers?

can anybody help me with this....how do you maintain the rubbers and plastic part of your car? ex...the black plastic from the doors...

I saw someone over the web who use peanut butter to protect and shine black trims over is 2006 Rav-4! No kidding man, I'm serious... I'll try to find the URL back! :laugh:

I use tire shine on the plastic fender wells and stuff under the hood
but anything inside the car is just cleaned weekly with a damp cloth, no products containing slicone, teflon or that leave a greasy shine

Peanut Butter does work :thumbsup: I used that on my MINI's black trim, to rub off the wax residual.
But I think we don't need to use that on the Yaris. I would simply use Armor All.

Stay away from "common" Armor-All. Maybe they have specific non-shinny protector for black plastic because the standard Armor-All leave grease and this will make the plastic to become white/gray after some years!!

TW Ice. It works in every Yarii surface but the glass ;). it's a shame it doesn't last foerver though :(.

I just put the Turtle Wax Ice on yesterday. It looks really good and was easy to use.

peanut butter eh...

well i use Auto Glym Bumper Care on the outside as well as the interior: (on the dashboard, steering wheel, panel where the stick shift is and anywhere there's plastic) i'll be quite oily and sticky at first but when it's dry i'll give that shine you'll probably be pleased with..

Give it a go and try it..

Use this on tires and under your hood. Do not spray it on your engine, spray it on a rag first, then wipe everything black, except your belts of course.

You will be very happy indeed! The Plexus even works great on paint, so a little overspray is actually a good thing! I don't think any other plastic cleaner/protectant is good for paint. I wouldn't use Plexus on your whole car though, it's around $6.00/can. It actually makes your plastics look "new" again. I should buy stock or get commission or something...
