I think it's just alright. Looks like another cookie-cutter hatchback car to me. Reminds me of a longer version Hyundai Accent from the side.

Looks like they adopted some of the nose lines from the 2008 Scirocco. I'm pleased.

I like it! For one, I've always had an affinity for VWs (having owned to for a total of almost 20 years) and I get them as rentals in Europe all the time (the Passat wagon we had in Germany this past January was better than the Jag XJ wagon we had a week later in the UK).

I applaud the return of the TDI to the US, you can't argue with 49 MPG highway and 35 MPG city with the six-speed transmission.

I only wonder how much it will cost. VWs have gotten expensive in this country, while they remain more reasonable in others.
