I posted a want ad on a local used item site for wheels that will fit my GF Yaris. I received a response and somebody has these stock toyota wheels for sale. this is the picture he sent me.

21620

I spoke with him on the phone and he said they are stock on a corolla. I've spent the last two hours searching everywhere trying to find a picture of these wheels online.

They are 205/45-16 with a 40mm offset which according to the tire fitment guide on this site, they should fit no problem and may rub a little bit on big bumps because the offset is 40 not 42-45mm

Anyways, think I'm going to buy them tonight, since the price is right. I'd just like to have an idea where they came from. that way I may have better luck finding center caps.

Thanks for your help

Hi

Usually, if itīs the same as in Europe, Toyota Corolla wheels have ET45 like the Toyota Yaris.
If itīs a genuine Toyota rim there should be a part number behind the wheel, probably on one of the spokes.

Regards Steven.

I did a search for miata wheels and they do look close but aren't the same. I will check for the part number when I'm there tonight.

Thanks

They look a lot like the wheels on our 2007 Yaris S sedan. They're 15" wheels, though.

Perhaps from the MR2/S line or European Corolla line?

Nope, not an MR2 wheel. VERY close, but still no match unless it's from something 2003 or later in the death-throes of that model line.

MR2 wheels throughout the ages: (Also, note that MR2's often used different sizes in the front and back, larger and/or wider in the back.)

Wow! I didn't expect this big of a turn out. Thanks for all your help!

I did buy the wheels and they fit the car perfectly. The guy I bought them from said they were aftermarket wheels that he had on his 1999 corolla.

I guess he "acquired" them from a miata or the miata above has the same aftermarket wheels. The inside of these wheels don't have any mazda markings or part numbers.

Just don't tell my GF I put miata wheels on her car because she hates miatas.

Thanks again for all your help. The only thing I need now is to find some center caps.

Billy
