I was interested in this as well. I cannot find any specs or anything on it. Was wondering how it worked.

ditto... although I think I might go with the TomTom ipod cable instead... as its only about $30 shipped...

on the other hand it would be nice to have it controlled through the stereo...

Go with an alpine Head Unit if you want full controm of your iPod!

If so, two friends of mine have that exact model installed in there cars. Works amazing, sound quality is top notch, and with thier Pioneer Decks they have full customization of how its gonna sound through the speakers.

Two thumbs up down here.

Alpines are sexy... I wouldn't own anything less.

Pioneer all the way, for those of us who still listen to AM/FM, the Pioneers have the best tuners ever made. Alpine and Eclipse's tuners tend to be worse than OEM. Not to mention, Pioneers are just as feature-laden and not as overpriced. Oh, and the iPod interface for Pioneer IP-bus has everything you'll ever use.

I have to agree: Pioneer / Premier by Pioneer are probably the best head units on the market.

I like Kenwood very much as well, and would put them as a close 2nd place to Pioneer. The Excelon series are NICE...

IMO you are better off keeping the stock head unit and get yourself a nice 4 channel amp and better speakers, unless you absolutely need iPod control, especially in the sedan. What was Toyota thinking with that layout. It looks great, but you can't change it out without moving heaven and earth!

Amps and speakers are your best bet!

The quality of the sound from the stock head unit in my LB is quite nice, just needs to be a little louder. I'm thinking about Infinity or JBL component speakers and a Panasonic 4 channel amp. A sub is out of the question, because I like my space in the back! I might use dedicated 6.5" subs in the back.

Well, suposedly the Digital Audio Interface will allow a stock deck to control an IPOD. Thats why we are asking about it. Can any vendors give us details about it? Like Sparks.

I think we're gonna be going with the Infinity Reference 6010cs components up front and the Reference 5012i 2-ways in the rear of our liftback, probably a small amp under the rear seats and some sort of slimline sub, like the Pioneer Premier slimline 8" sub in the back somewhere, just to flesh out the system's sound.
