Went to check my cabin air filter & lo & behold NO filter installed @ the factory! either that or the dealer stole it. Toyota owes me a cabin air filter any ideas how to get one from Toyota i installed an after market filter.
Yaris hatchback was purchased 02/08 Putnam Toyota Burlingame Calif

There are plenty of posts about the cabin air filter. Mine didn't have one either. I used the DIY thread and made my own.

nemelek thanks but i still think Toyota owes all of us who didnt have a cabin air filter factory installed a new one. But hard to prove.

they dont owe us anything, the option for a filter is there, you have to ask and pay for the option, or make one yourself

I'm going to ask for my dealership to put in a Toyota filter when I go in for my first oil change. Oil changes and tire rotations are free so I'm interested to see what they say about the filter. :)

My 2007 Sedan also did not have one in it. I got one at a local auto parts store.
My Owners Manual said it was an Option and if one was installed by Toyota. A sticker saying so would be on the inside of the Glove Box Door. Mine had no sticker or filter.

USA Yaris's do not come with a cabin air filter. I get mine at my local parts store for $8.99. Think the dealership charges like $30 and like $50 to install it.
