those underbody lights were cheesy ten years ago, they are probably more cheesy now.

I do like how he painted the interior, I think he did a good job, except I don't think he should have used blue, white would have been the more obvious and better choice (IMO). Some interior parts could have been left alone as far as the painting goes but overall it works. I painted the interior of my car as well, so I could be a little bias there, not to say all painted interiors look good.

But as far as the other stuff, rice...its what's for dinner.

and considering that a brand new yaris just purchased off the lot would resell for like 9-11k, i really dont think that a yaris is going to be worth much more than 5k in 4 years. so if he keeps it for 4 years...i dont see how it could possibly reduce the price by 5k...and even longer than that...well then lol, going to be worthless with or without.

i agree with you. some people didn't really like what i did to my last car (GTI), but i didn't want to waste my 89 bucks at carsponsorship.com...they really go me there...but yeah, i give the guy props for doing what he did. it's his style, which some may not totally agree with. but that's his pride and joy. a lot of people would tell us that our cars are ugly because we lower it and add an exhaust system, but hey, that's our style. so if the guy is a member here or reading this topic, don't mind us...

Doesn't matter what age you are .. it's a phase that every tuner goes through with their cars. I'm pretty sure that you guys have done something ricey in the past. I know I have in the past.

To be honest with you, I wouldnt even consider the car "rice" because the car still looks like a stock Yaris on the outside with no "ricey" visuals. No extreme bodykit, HUGE wings, custom paint, badges that don't belong, or anything of the sort. Do I personally like what he did? Not to my taste but that's just him. I don't have to bash him on and make it public. That's your opinion.

You weren't who I was thinking of, no. I'm sure your car qualifies under someone's definition, but for me it looks too professional to be "rice." It's what ricers aspire to, what they ape and emulate, but it doesn't have the laughably cheap-looking (yet often expensive) aspects of the cars I'm thinking of. I can't really give specifics without making it obvious who I'm thinking of and I'm not realling interested in calling anyone out, as some of the (imo) worst offenders are active members here and I'm sure that they're very proud of what they've done.

I didn't find that Yaris rice at all. When I read the thread title I though someone put V-TEC and VVT-i stickers on the car with a big aluminum wing and sticker flames. The vehicle is not rice just personalize.
