The tape wrap for springs, alternate available?

I was getting ready to throw on my TRD springs here this week and the ones I have don't have the black tape to wrap around them to protect against squeeks, etc. Is there anything else that I can use or do they sell specific stuff at the parts store?

One other question is with the trd springs, i know it states 1.25" drop but it seems like most people say more like an inch and a half. Is there anyone on here that has the springs who can attest what the reality is of the drop.

Based on the spring I've seen/held the stuff they wrap around the coils looks to be standard wire-hide you can get at any electronics/stereo place. I could be wrong, but I don't think it needs to be anything too crazy.
