Yo guys, i got in a really bad car accident with my 07 yaris. I am extremely pleased at the safety of this vehicle. I was going roughly 30 mph and slammed into a lady driving a Saturn Vue SUV across two lanes of traffic into my lane. The airbags deployed and i smashed the shit out of my front end of the yaris. I walked away with a scratched knee and a stiff neck. My friend driving in the car walked away with a bruise on the chest from the seatbelt. I am rediculously grateful i walked away from this one. And the police reaction time was roughly 30 seconds. I completely fucked up her car as well, which i was proud of my car for doing. The cop wrote her a ticket for reckless driving, and i walked away without any of my sound equipment being damaged, though its still in the car.

just thought you guys would like to know the rediculous safety of this car. :headbang:

Glad you and your passenger are ok. It is surprising about the level of safety of the Yaris considering you took on an SUV. Was it a full head on or offset collision?

Thanks for the report. Glad that nobody has been seriously hurt.
Sorry for the car but proud of its strength.
Get well soon from whatever small injury that you may have suffered!

god damn that would of pissed me off if some one wrecked my yaris, good luck with getting a new 1 and be carefull of those suvs users/pick up drivers, i tend to find them to be most aggressive in driving and annoying when it comes to tail gating.

Well... you are okay which is the good thing. Can't say the same for your poor Yaris. It will take you forever to replace it! That's if you plan on buying another Yaris.

Natick Mass huh? I have been there a few times.....

As long as I'm OK it's just a car, I'd love to upgrade to LB w/power!!

As soon as there are some on the market.....HIT ME!

so turns out its not totaled but it does have 5300 bucks worth of damage. 2k of it just for the airbags alone. It was an offset collision, and the other lady was a nutjob, so i wont even begin to talk about her.

After a wreck, especially a head-on collision, there will always be something wrong with the car. It'll just be one thing breaking after another.

Sorry for the wreck but at least you're alright. Good luck.
