Hi, Can any one tell what does the symbol B shows onm auto transmission panel. i mean like, D is to drive, S is sports mode, What is B for? its a hatch back 2005

The OP's car is from Pakistan, so it is probably different compared to what we have here in N. America. However, I do remember that Camry Hybrids have D and B, where D is for Drive and B is for engine braking. But I still dont really get why B is necessary when the OP's car already has S mode, which I assume is for standard tip-tronic manual gear shifting mode. Then you can simply use S to utilize engine braking...

B is like the low speed gear..
like the 1 or L in other automatic transmissions... I belive the CVT transmissions uses PRNDB like the Prius.

B is the slowest gear used only for towing or uphills. its a cvt gearbox like myne

I don't know, but maybe in Pakistan Toyota did something a bit different than in for export to US models?

One of the reasons I purchased a Yaris was because it is a true "world car". Easier to find good spare parts that way.
