why are you going narrower than stock?

why not step up to at least a 195/55/15 or 205?

BrazdonW
04-23-2009, 08:36 PM
stock is 6.5 im going to 7 lol

Great looking wheels! I am seriously considering buying same with 195's or 205's, but I'm worried the tires will rub due to the 15mm offset. Do you have any pics of the front and back of you car?

BrazdonW

take some time and read up on tire sizes..

the first number, (205) - width of the tread in millimeters (kinda)
the second number (50) percentage of width. this is the sidewall height
third number (15) tells you which wheel size it fits.

That is one sick Yaris.

BrazdonW
04-24-2009, 10:52 PM
the first number is where i get lost because i do the calculations and half the time it doesn't add up for me
its always slightly off

Thanks vinsanity :)

will those rims work on a non lowered yaris?
and is rubbing still a issue if u dont lower? :iono:

BrazdonW
04-24-2009, 10:58 PM
rubbing should not happen if you aren't lowered. the only time i rub is going threw a turn way to fast and with a passenger but mind you i dont have a back seat in which is more weight then you might think

marcus
04-25-2009, 06:54 PM
i cant wait to see if +15 will work without rolling fenders..

BrazdonW
04-25-2009, 07:52 PM

What size tires are you running now Brazdon?

BrazdonW
05-20-2009, 12:47 AM
they are the stock potenza tires from the original steelies so whatever those are
im getting new tires soon :)

225 wide seems like overkill on the yaris...i'd think the weight of the tire would make things too sluggish, my stock tires (185/60/15) weigh close to 18 lbs, 225/45's would weigh around 21lbs.

does anyone here have 225's on already, maybe they can chime in?
