my mods= megan header, 3'' cai, 2.5 straight pipe with a cutout in the middle 'you can hear it in the video' ,potenciometer 'it works for me'

future mods...1zzfe throttel body,tc injectors,full race head work, custom intake manifold, forged rods, prius pistons bored at .20, e-manage ultimate, nst pulleys, ground kit with voltaje stabilizer, nitto torque damper, short shifte, act clutch kit and more... :drool:

well my friend the yellow blurr is me and the other blurr that you see in the back is the lancer. try to apreciate the potencial of the yaris and not the quality of the video i said that that's the only video i have for now.. i'll keep posting new ones and better ones later on. :wink:

I'm not really, i know the yaris can be fast with a few mods:burnrubber:. Plus it's a light car, you already have the advantage on the lancer. I just hate how people look at it and just shrug it off.

No times are fine by me, just next time, grab a bud's video camera.

We have the same kind of fun days around here, cept ours are based on Autocross Saturdays where kids pay $30 to run for 6 hours, but its all setup where you gotta wait in line. You generally get 3-5 runs in within that time period.

Yeah, I was running mid 16's as well, but that was with a full tank of gas, and the worse launches possible. LOL. I can't remember where I put the four time slips I have.

We have "open" nights here as well on Mondays on our local drag strip...

And since SO many cars assist and the fee is like $5 so they don't bother setting up the times... They only do for really fast cars... you know for the show.

Is fun, is legal, is cheap, you get to practice your lauches since you can easily run 4-5 times in one night.

i have a 09 yaris sedan' and i stripped it down too but i had the passenger seat cuz of my girlfriend :wub: i'm not sure about 15's with the small upgrades but later on yeah cuz ive seen it and i know the right tuners to do it.

Um, weak time? Although the "official" timeslips thread for the quarter were mostly lost, hardly anyone has broken into the 16's w/o some sort of forced induction or engine swap. I'm almost tapped out for the auto yaris for performance mods, and my best run was a 16.9 @ 84mph, which is the quickest documented time for a n/a auto 2nd gen hatch. Chino has a manual, almost similar mods (different intake, header) and he managed a 17.1. Without some serious weight reduction and good tires I see it pretty hard to get into the 15's keeping it n/a with the 1NZFE.

corri con un civic que hace 16.0 que no los falla y le saque medio carro. debo de estar en 15.8 me dijeron pal de los q trabajan alli asi que voy hacer tiempo pa callarle la boca a pal de huele bichos por ahi....now in english i ran yesterday with a civic that always does 16.0 and beat him by half a car. people that work in the strip told me that that's a good 15.8 so preety soon you'll see those slips i think i'll go thursday with a cam and some time for all those haters that don't even do 16.3 and bother hating on me

Jouna...no one is hating on you. The reason people are doubtful of your 15.8 is b.c no one has done it NA. I think it may be possible with intake, header, mid-pipe, axle back, light weight flywheel, trd or exedy clutch kit, redline oil, nitto engine damper, light weight rims (11lbs), and most importantly DRAG SLICKS and a perfect reaction time. There are a lot of things that go into it. 15.8 on street tires isn't possible. I don't even know if any of the SC'd guys have run their cars in the 1/4 mile. With all that yes, i would say it would be possible. But not with the minimal mods you have. And unless you have actual timeslips or a video people are going to call :bs: For now the only thing we can do is wait for you to post that timeslip or video. It's possible just very hard to believe. Timeslip or video will shut everyone up. Just for the record not hating on you, just trying to be a realist

My auto w/mods is considerably faster than my stock 5-spd.
