Any one ever wanted to go to a drive in movie, but never got the chance. Well if you want to take a road trip to Aberdeen, Maryland on Friday August 28,2009(rain date is the 27th) there will be a free yes FREE drive-in movie(movie to be played will be decided on a later date). No purchase is needed just show up at sun down (8ish pm) at the Clarion hotel parking lot in the back, you'll see the big movie screen. Here's what the screen looks like:

Three-day event with movie stars signing autographs and posing for photos with fans, vendor room selling antiques and nostalgia collectibles, seminars, 24 hour movie room screening vintage films, and a drive-in outside the hotel Friday night (Thursday night raindate).

Lee Meriwether (Catwoman on Batman, Time Tunnel, Barnaby Jones)
James Best (Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane on Dukes of Hazzard)
Celeste Holm (Academy Award Winning Actress)
Patty McCormack (The Bad Seed, The Sopranos, Frost/Nixon)
Bob Hastings (Lt. Carpenter on McHale's Navy, The Munsters)
Johnny Whitaker (Family Affair and Tom Sawyer)
Rosemary Rice (I Remember Mama)
Diane Sowle (Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory)

Vendor room 9 to 5 Thursday and Friday and 9 to 4 Saturday
Movie stars sign autographs and pose for photos 10 to 5 Thursday and Friday, 10 to 4 Saturday

Buffet Dinner Banquet with stage performances Saturday evening 6:30, tickets are limited.

Drive-In Movie Theater Friday night (Thursday evening is the rain date). Starts at Sunset.
Located outside the hotel parking lot. If you have a vintage automobile, bring it with you!

Charity auction Friday afternoon. Old-Time Radio drama "live" on stage Friday afternoon.

We have an amp. and speakers for the people not in cars, and a low frequency FM transmitter (1000 feet) for people in their cars can listen to it though a FM channel. It works pretty good, unless your the very last car.

comcast has done an event similar to this in Rockville it wasnt drive in oriented but but the screen was a thousand times bigger than that, still inflatable, and they did it 10 nights in a row. last time i went i was still in high school. probably 4 years ago.

Remember guys we can make this a meet up for anyone who's in the area, or feels like meeting up. I'm going to be very busy with the rest the of convention but if any of you want a meeting place the parking lot at the hotel is very nice. And also remember the drive-in is free to who ever.
