This is a very tempting mod, as I like the deep-dish look it appears it would give; but I would like to see some pics of this grill installed (preferably on a BSP HB, if possible).

So, that's my request...please post up pictures of your Micro Image Front Sport Mesh Grill!

Cheers! M2

Well, I found a few on another web site...

...but I will still like to see some from folks on this forum...especially for a BSP hatch!

Cheers! M2

That's the best set of installed pics I've seen -- hadn't seen the black one, very nice!

Damn, another item on the wish list!

Thanks for posting that pic, Stefan; it really looks sharp on that black hatch! Be sure to post some pics when you get yours on!

Now it's a decision between getting the grill first, or the DF210s...:iono:

If they'd fit the diesel and our $%*&$&% roads, I would definitely get the DF210s first!
Can't wait for the grill...I'll post pictures as soon as I get it on! I thought about painting the horn red...I'll see

Is the installation difficult? Which are the steps?

remove your bumper. snap out stock grill.

drill small holes in the inside edge of bumper where the grill goes.

1. use small black zipties to install new grill OR
2. Use small screws and nuts (*recommended method, but hardware is not provided)

re-install bumper.

I believe there is a DIY for taking off your front bumper and putting it back on somewhere.

And, according to Garms web site, you can replace the stock grill later if desired...

So this mod is reversible if necessary.

do i need to prep it if I want to paint it or is it paint ready

It appears to be a very dark gray, or even black, in all of the above pictures as well as the one on Garm's web page...

1. It's black plastic.
2. The mesh is held to the frame by small black zip ties, so the mesh can be removed for painting.
3. The holes in the grill are pre-drilled for installation. Matching holes must be drilled into the inside edge of the bumper opening. These will be covered if you ever go back to stock.

myself also but i still think color match is the way to go. flat black just doesn't flow right....

Well it does if you're silver and have flat black wheels and emblems to match. I agree though, on the color cars (not white, met met or black) color match that sucka.

Just got mine into the bumper. Very good fit. Now trying to decide what to do with my 2 red Freeway Blaster Horns...to show, or not to show?
