Hi all,
I'm new here in this forum. I looked everywhere to find out if there is a way to change the language of my Vitz's stereo. It is a DVD, CD, GPS & Tuner all in 1 unit. I don't even know the brand of this stereo and there are no manuals in it. My Vitz was imported from Japan with this stereo and I have already made a chip to it so that it can accept the European radio channels, but now this language this is bothering me. I have a DVD that came with the car, but when I put it in, it will update the maps of Japan to the stereo and there is no way to modify any settings from this DVD neither.
If someone has the same type of stereo and has sorted this out please give me some advise about this please.

its the same situation here .. i also imported my vitz from Jap, and it has i think the same dvd/md/tuner/tv player in it. you can do nothing to it regarding the language issue. u can just play around with it, and learn your way through! .. mine didnt even came with a reset dvd, so i had to go through a hard time in getting one reset dvd from the market.

Yes it's nearly the same. My buttons are also in Japanese, :-((((((( I guess I only have to cope with cd and tuner only.

it doesnt have any language option, so stop searching over it. what u can do is do some hits and trial, and its not so difficult to operate. infact its a great HU, and the sound is amazing. i finally figured it out and now i am enjoying everthing it has to offer. only i cannot use maps as this unit only supports japanese maps, in JAP language. other than that, its great. GOT my iphone attached to it too.

the same reason why our head units says "track 1" instead of "Pista Uno" :bellyroll:

How did you manage with the iphone? It's not through bluetooth? I think that you bought some kit and connected it to the AUX out, is it?
