UGH... i got this exhaust tip from walmart. One of those screw on kinds. and its ALWAYS VIBRATING AND MAKING ANNOYING noises no matter how tight I screw it on. It's really starting to annoy me, and I don't know if it's bad for the exhaust when its constantly vibrating? Anyone have any suggestions? How to make it stop vibrating? Or should I get another type? Clamp on maybe? AHHH i love the look, but I hatee the rattling and vibrating sound!! Sometimes it gets really loose after I just tightened it and rattles like my yaris is about to break down and people in other cars stare at me like WTF? lol!! so sad. Please HELP!! :frown:

Burn it... Burn it with fire. It doesn't do anything and it looks/sounds cheap AND draws unnecessary attention.

ha...u could roll up some aluminum foil and put between the tip and pipe...and clamp it down.

but that would be a ghetto rig. a good tip like borla or magnaflow will be solid stainless, not coated...and any good shop can weld it on for about 10 bux.

Don't buy parts @ Wal Mart. Problem solved

Yeah, that that thing off. Put it on a rod and go rice fishing.

No, seriously, stock > Walmart. Save your money. Get the real deal.

I have the Walmart stainless tip that someone posted a thread about a while back. It stays put on the tailpipe now, but I had to align it perfectly with the tailpipe so it wouldn't rattle. I believe there is a little contoured/bent area towards the end of the tailpipe that wouldn't let the clamps get a hold of it. Try to reposition it instead of just tightening it.

I've got a Walmart S/S resonated tip, and it's as good as anything out there.

I don't know which tip you bought... perhaps it's a real cheapy, or perhaps you just haven't installed it properly. Post a pic.

I've got this one: http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ItemBrowse/c-10101/s-10101/p-100000186093/mediaCode-ZX/appId-100000186093/Pr-p_CATENTRY_ID:100000186093

I'd just get a different tip. I used one from Advanced Auto Parts before I bought my exhaust and it worked great.

I got one at PepBoys (same brand as the one everyone is getting at Wal-Mart / like kimona's). It's the square one though. Haven't had any problems w/ it and it's smaller than the Wal-Mart one so it doesn't look ricey.

Didn't know exhaust tips change the noise though. I don't hear any difference from when I didn't have an exhaust tip...

They can change the sound a little, yeah. I noticed when I had mine on vs. stock.

Genuine Toyota Parts FTW.

Buy the Borla exhaust tip. Dealership upgrade to the Yaris. Takes 5 mins to put on, and has a great tightening mechanism (no screws).

Yeah, why get the same thing at Walmart for $13 when you can throw $50+ at your Toyota dealer?

I have the same tip as kimona, and it works and looks great on the car.

There are some things out there that are inexpensive and work just as well as the overpriced versions. As Yaris drivers, we should realize that more than anyone!

Cheers! M2

That's the first thing that came into my head as well:

"Big truck! I bet he's a Texan."

Then I noticed the license plates and what do you know...

LoL. :p
