I went by the body shop this morning to check on my Yaris. The collision repair is almost finished and my car was sitting outside the shop. I gave it the "once over" and discovered the chrome plating was gone from the center caps of my Enkei RS-V rims!!!:mad::evil: The service rep I'm dealing with was quick to mention that "they didn't use anything besides window cleaner to clean the wheels and that window cleaner would not hurt them.":bs: Well, if said window cleaner has AMMONIA in it, it most certainly will remove the chrome plating from the plastic.

Replacement caps are available at a cost of $15 each but it is going to be a pissing contest to get them to pay for it I can tell.:evil::bs:

I'm also fighting for a replacement TRD exhaust, which was purchased and added by the dealer before delivery last year. It used to fit up snug against the bumper with bearly clearance to slide a towel between to clean. Now, it hangs down between 1-2 inches below the bumper. They claim the exhaust is not bent and there is nothing they can do. I have pictures to prove the fit before the collision. I'm going to suggest the dealer (who owns the collision center) get a new TRD exhaust, remove mine and compare the two. If mine is not bent, then there are other problems underneath. I think it is bent as the bumper was pushed down onto the TRD tip after the collison.

Thanks for letting me vent!!! I'll post updates later.

All dealers are the same BSers. They won't fork over the dough unless they know Toyota will reimburse them. I'm sure each principal is given an 'allowance'; so to speak.

That's terrible that they would treat you like that. In one of the two dealers here, they sell Lexus models as well. Perhaps if I was in that scenario I'd go to the other dealership and tell them what's going on. If they claim that you have to go to the originating dealer, then contact Toyota directly about the problem and I'm sure they'll solve it (in due time).

My Dealer owns several other dealerships besides the Toyota (largest in Oklahoma) and their Tulsa collision center supports all of them. They are a separate entity from the Toyota dealer. IF they give me any more crap regarding the center caps they destroyed, my first call will be to the owner of the enterprise.

Progressive is handling my insurance claim thru the individual that hit my car and they have been very good to work with. What I fail to comprehend is, what happened to "the customer is always right"?:iono:

What I fail to comprehend is, what happened to "the customer is always right"?:iono: What has happened to "the customer is always right" is the truly astonishing lack of honest people now days. Sadly a business' customers will bleed it dry any more if they had that attitude. People lie to businesses, because they feel the business is better off then them, and can afford to lose a little money to them. Unfortunately if you are a honest customer with a legitimate problem the business is unlikely to believe you, and unwilling to accommodate because of the last few times customers lied and got something they didn't deserve. "The customer is always right" is an antiquated phrase, which originated from more honest times... :frown:

Just talked to the adjuster at the collision center. They are replacing the fubar'd center caps on my Enkei rims!:w00t:

Now, if the insurance adjuster will approve my replacement TRD exhaust...

My stealership over filled the oil. I should have figured something was up when the Tech told me that the Yaris does not have an AT dipstick.
