My car whistles at about half throttle too. Always has, even before my TRD CAI.

should be normal...thats the air being sucked in the filter

mine does the same thing i got the afe intake. my prob is that i want to replace the filter cause its really dirty cause i not sure how to clean the afe filter

simple...pressurized air through a nozzle from the inside to do a dry cleaning

or, fill a bucket with warm water and light detergent like laundry or dish washing detergent....and while ur waiting on the warm water rinse from the inside to loosen big clumps of dirt.

allow a few hrs to dry or use pressurized air and slap it back on.
