We need more people from DFW to make the trip down to Houston this weekend. I think it's important that we support each other's groups when we have the chance. Houston is only 240 miles from Dallas; that's close to half a gas tank for us.

Let's show our support for the Houston group.

Lazerdot suggested a meet before we go so that he can get a keg of coffee and then we can all be together on the way down.

Let me know what you think. I'll PM you also and pm him as well.

Lazerdot and SaerinRhoe are going to meet up in Dallas and I'm going to meet them at Ennis where 287 and I-45 meet. We are planning on being there right about the time it starts. Are you going? If so I hope to see you there! I think this is going to be the biggest turn out of Yari the Mike has ever seen. I know it will be the most I have ever seen in a group.

I'm going to PM Lazerdot in a couple of minutes. We have to work out a place for him to change wheels so that he can save some rubber on his race setup. Right now we've got a tentative meet time of 9am in Ennis and from there I'm not sure what time we'll actually get to Houston but we'll come direct from Ennis.

We're still working the details and I'm excited to. :)

I've not heard from Ozmdd. I'm bringing a couple of chairs and an umbrella. I've been keeping an eye on the weather forecast for Dallas and Houston and there's a chance of rain in both for the next couple of days.

I'll wash mine when I get down there, probably find a place to run it through so that I get the inside and tires detailed as well. That's as much as I can do for a stock ride. :)

I'm also bringing a cooler for my water supply.

Oh, and I'm bringing sunscreen and a hat. I'm not getting any more blisters on my head after last weekend. :(

Those pics look amazing! I really like the red lift back grabing some e-brake there. Haha. some of those other shots are really good! It was nice meeting everyone up there! I got to meet 3 new Yari drivers which was the highlight of the day. I was doing back flips on the inside! There is going to be another event in like 4 weeks according to Mike. I hope that everyone that made it to this one will come to the next and then some more too! THANK YOU MIKE FOR THE GREAT DAY (even though it poored) AND OUR OWN PARKING!!! I was going to post this when I got home last night but at 3:30 in the morning and work at 8:00 a.m. I really needed to sleep. have a great day!!

Lilredrocket's said it first and said it best. This was a great day. Thank you to all the NST drivers out there that put in a long day of shredding tires and hauling tourists. :biggrin: This is the first large (by my limited experience) car show that I've been to and it was nice. Some of those Scion folks had some really nice rides out there but it was still nice to have our cars over in the shady spot where we could relax and laugh at huge Cadillac's with long horn hood ornaments and hydraulics. :laugh: But, to each their own so...

And who was that masked man in the red lift back with his e-brake? Someone needs to sign him up for NST or give him a contract to repave that parking lot. :cool:

These are some really good pictures. Thanks for posting them TexKid, it was good to meet you and the others there.

It was fun to meet the other Yaris drivers from the Houston area and chat with them. We definitely need to do that again. I'm definitely up for another trip down when the next NST event rolls around.

And I feel for you with the lack of sleep there. I only managed 6 myself but at least the drive to work was easy since everyone else was in bed. And somehow I wound up with a tennis ball in the back of my car. Gee, I wonder who put that there? :laugh: Oh well, it gives me something to throw at Hummers when I pass them at the gas pump.

Mineral Wells AX on the 5th, and the Porsche Club TT at MotorSport Ranch in Cresson on the 14th. Nick, the Cresson event is pretty close to you. No fee for spectating I think?

I think you're on to something there. Didn't the guy in that red lift back that put on his own drifting demo on Sunday once say that I have no shame? Didn't he say that when I started chasing Yaris sedans down that street we were backed up to?

Besides, if it wasn't for my 4x4 Yaris, we'd have had to drive all the way around that one building just to get back inline to get in. That was what, 30 yards? Way too far in my humble opinion. Do you realize how much that would've hurt my mpg? :biggrin:

At least we all had a good time in Houston and if my childish antics added to the fun then so be it. :biggrin: I had a blast and I'm glad I went and had the opportunity to meet some really cool people.
