sure, but the question is why?

if you're doing it for weight/rolling resistance you might as well do 195/55 up front too.

a 205/50/15 will shorten your gears more then they already are.

get a grippy 195/55/15 and be done. :D

edit: damn only $88 a pop, I don't even need new tires and I want those :bellyroll:

I know what he's doing.

but reducing the gearing is going to hurt more than having a little more grip.

he's going to spin the 205s too even if he gets a really grippy tire.

might as well run the same tire front and rear and get a grippy ass tire like the Z1 Star Spec.

it'll also allow you to rotate your tires so they last longer, we know you're doing burnouts constantly so you'll need that advantage.

I chumped out and ordered 2 more 912's. I don't want to run a different set front and back. I'll blow through these this summer and get better tires next year, thats all.

Thanks for the advice anyway dooder.

Not this Tuesday but next Tuesday.

do you have a spare set of wheels? or your stockers still laying around?

it'd be worth a shot to try and track down a used tire dealer who is local (around Mid-Ohio maybe) that sells Spec Miata take offs.

get some 225/45/15 R6's or something for $50 a piece.

I'll ask my track whore buddy who lives in ohio if he knows of anyone.

slap those on at the track and has some sticky fun :drinking:

I don't and its bumming me out. Yeah, if you track down a set of used drag radials let me know!

you don't need drag radials, hell your 60ft will improve the day you get better tires then those 912's....haha. :)

some Hoosier A6s (autox tires) or R6s (road race tires) will be a huge improvement.

:D

I'm asking around.

that's true, the yaris suffers from having far too much front grip.

also having that additional dead rotational unsprung weight to carry around is a really good idea for drag racing.

I really like my 912s for everyday use. If I were going with a straight-up summer tire, I would've definitely looked at the Dunlops.

They wear pretty quickly though, don't you think?
