quick air filter question

Sorry if this question is really basic, but I just wanted to be sure. I'm replacing my factory air filter with a K&N filter, the square corner of the filter goes into the top left spot, right?

Just replaced my filter. There is only one way the filter fits. Depending on which way you look at it the top left seems correct. Putting one square corner on the filter is a good idea. As it fits only one way there is no quess work about which side is up.

Mine has a round corner at the far left. The other 3 are square. Whats up wid dis?
