So i was looking for a replacement key. My factory key has a remote built in and was looking for a backup incase the battery dies or if i loose it or break it. And from what i hear it cost anywhere between 250-350 for a new one and having it programed at the dealer.

I found one on ebay for i think around 35-40 i forget exactly what i payed. And programed it myself. Just need to get the key cut. Opens and unlocks the door like the factory one now =). In the auction it says if you have a transponder there hsould be a dot on the key. But mine does not. But if your car has transponder they give you a transponder key at no charge anyways u just have to say if you have one or not.

My question is how do you cut the key? Do you just disassemble it and bring it to Home Depot and have them cut it like the original key?
