I got tinting done today and the tinting shop screwed up and put a small vertical scratch on the rear passenger side window. The scratch is near the bottom of the window over the area that has the black manufacturer tint.

Anyway, they refuse to take responsibility for it even though I went over my whole car at least three times before letting them start work on tinting.

Is there any way, short of replacing that window, to remove that scratch on the glass? If not, are there ways to make it less visible?

How do you touch up scratches on a window anyway? I called some auto-glass shops today and all of them said that scratches can only be removed from windshields since windshields use different type of glass from all the other windows in cars.

cant you stick a small tiny paint brush with flat black paint down in there? if they were able to scratch it, you must be able to reach it somehow.

have you tried toothpaste? a good friend of mine used to scratch his glasses all the time and and used to fix them by rubbing toothpaste on them and then polishing them... and wham!!! bam!!! all gone. just an idea.
