So since I have a harness, I was trying to figure out how the hell I'm going to turn that friggin chime and seatbelt warning off. This was my solution.

The Seatbelt On and Off Switch.

I used the existing AUX jack because I have no use for it abnymore since my stock one is broken and I have a new aftermarket HU anyway.

Where did you get the switch that fills up the blank slot exactly.

No dealer around here would disable an important safety feature like this. mikenacarato, are you sure?

positive, even says so in the owners manual. plus, ive had it done at my dealer already.

Seatbelt extension is the easiest solution. Dealership gives them out for free (written in your owner's manual), nothing to reprogram, just plug in and tuck extension between seat and console.

the dealer wont do it on the driver's seat.....

you should put a sticker that says "Ejection Seat" above it

are we all ignoring the easy solution of unplugging the actual switch that goes to the seatbelt latch?

if you unplug the switch at the seatbelt latch, don't you get a flashing seatbelt sign or something like that?

you're correct

so. if your dealer won't disable the drivers side warning for you (which is possible, per the toyota service manual)

you can do this:

put a 20Kohm resistor between pin 3 and 4 under the seat

Interesting... Will that mess with the airbag deployment at all? The guy that sold me my car told me the airbags will not deploy if the passenger isn't wearing a belt. He said you are worse off if the airbag were to deploy that way. Probably :bs:

Mine too, after repeated attempts. But the ECU got reset and I need to do it again. :frown:

Thats what I told my GF when she first saw it. I said it's a ejection button that ejects annoying passengers when they piss me off hahaha

he's right. no seatbelt + airbag = broken neck.

with this setup, if someone's in the seat, and you've disable the seatbelt latch, the airbag will deploy and probably kill your passenger.

This isn't for the passenger side. This is only for the driver's side due to my harness. MY passenger side is still there and the dealer WILL turn the chime off for the passenger side but not the warning light. That's what i was told

so put a resistor between pins 3 and 4 and you're set. resistors are about a buck at radio shack.

either way, if you're in an accident, you'll probably die anyway, with those brackets you got goin on lmfao

Lifes no fun without dangers lol

I dunno if its 3 and 4 but its the red and green wire you can tap into and put a resister between them. I used a 2 ohm resister.
