Since I originally posted asking about different lowering spring rates for the Yaris NCP91 chassis code, I started searching around until I realized I have a Hyper Rev magazine for the Yaris (duh!)

So I copied the rates and drops and am putting them here. MODS I hope you make this a sticky because this would be most helpful for everyone!

Progress Group Springs – 110 lbs/in front and 130lbs/in rear
2kg/m front and 2.3kg/m rear
DROP: 1.7’ F and 1.8’ R

Tanabe NF210 – 140 lbs/in front and 123.2 lbs / in rear
2.5kg/m front and 2.2 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.1’ F and 1.3’ R

Tanabe DF210 - 168 lbs/in front and 123.2 lbs/in rear
3.0kg/m front and 2.2 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.6’ F and 1.8’ R

Tanabe GF210 - 218 lbs/in front and 196 lbs/in rear
3.9 kg/m front and 3.5 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.2’ F and 1.4’ R

TEIN H-Tech 157 lbs/in front and 179.2 lbs/in rear
2.8kg/m front and 3.2 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.4’ F and 1.0’ R

TEIN S-Tech 168lbs/in front and 196lbs/in rear
3.0kg/m front and 3.5 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.4’ F and 1.2’ R (closer to 2' F&R accdg to users)

Espelir Active Super Down 140lbs/in front and 168lbs/in rear
2.5kg/m front and 3.0/kg/m rear
DROP: 1.4’ F&R

C-One Motorsports 212.8lbs/in front and 145.6lbs/in rear
3.8kg/m front and 2.6kg/m rear
DROP: 1.0’ F&R

BLITZ 140lbs/in front and 168lbs/in rear
2.5kg/m front and 3.0 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.4’ F&R

RS*R 180lbs/in front and 171lbs/in rear
3.23 kg/m front and 3.06kg/m rear DROP: 1.2’ F&R
(titanium springs available, same spring rates
and drop)

Megan Racing No published spring rates
DROP: 1.5' F&R

H&R No published spring rates
DROP: 1.2' F & 1' R

Eibach No published spring rates
DROP: 1.1' F & 0.9 R

* The specs for the Tanabe NF210, DF210 and Progress Springs I took from the Microimage website. The rest I took from my Hyper Rev magazine.
** I used 56 to convert kg/m to lbs/in vis-a-vis.
*** Hyper Rev lists a range of the actual DROP so I simply put in the lowest drop but the variance is only 5mm from highest possible to lowest possible drop of the springs.
**** All spring rates and drops in inches are rounded off to the nearest 100th decimal for simplicity's sake. At most you're looking at 0.02 variance.
***** If there are any errors please do post up and tell me so we can correct it. Thanks!

If anyone wants the drops and spring rates for popular lowering springs for the older Yaris / Vios platforms and chassis, PM me your chassis code and I will post it here as well. Right now these are for all NCP91 chassis Yaris.

^ Yes, I've heard that too, more like a 2" drop.

I don't think there is a GF210 for us.

H & R is another spring, but they don't publish a rate.

And the new springs from China that I have, 1.75" drop (more or less) and 4k front, 3.1k rear.

So we need H&R, garm's springs from china(tigertec right?), megan racing, eibach, TRD, and probably some more I'm forgeting?

Awesome info though, and a complete list should help with the amount of "which springs should I get" threads.

I thought the AOE Tigertecs were about 1.5" or that's what I remember from the test information you were telling me about? I guess either way I'll find out soon just how low is low! lol

I got the specs from my the Japanese Hyper Rev magazine (for those who don't know, it's like a 3rd party catalog that lists all imaginable aftermarket parts and accessories for specific types of cars published by Mook's Publishing in Japan) and/or our online shop vendors.

As I've said, if there are any mistakes, let me know so we can edit it :) I'll go check on those Megan springs right now.

RE GF210, there's an application listed in Hyper Rev for the NCP91. Might be a JDM only product? I can double-check with my local Tanabe supplier though.

Is there another to show us what shocks and struts will net the best or most agressive combo yet?

Tanabe shows that the GF is available for the N91, so it is for us. I have no idea why these aren't in the states yet.

Nope. There's a good list of available dampers, but no rates whatsoever; only prices. The struts/shocks available for the N91 are as follows:
TRD Sportivo
Bilstein Premium Order Line
KYB SR Special
KYB Lowfer Sports
el-Sport Type Standard
el-Sport Type Adjustable
el-Sport Type Adjustable2

TRD Red. 1.2" lower front and rear according to manf.
Real world... shortly after settle-in and still after 40,000 kilometers, closer to a 2" drop in my '08 sedan when compared to the same model with stock suspension which parks beside me daily at the office. His looks like an off-road set-up in comparison. Yuck!

the GF210 is made by Tanabe, but not sold in the USA.

You can add TigerTec springs to the list:

4k front/ 3k rear
1.7" drop

Anybody ever find out what the spring rates are for the Megan Racing lowering springs?

cali yaris

Progress are no longer made
We can't get the GF210

MI springs are missing from the list (old list!)

I'll ask Megan about their rates.

According to Megans tech line:

Front 126 ft lbs
Rear 144 ft lbs

Those springs should be pretty soft when compared to the other drop springs.

Edit: Ride is nice.
