I have the 09 HB with the CD/MP3 player. While the unit itself is an okay player, the display is easily washed out by sunlight, indirect or otherwise. I've read the manual and played with every conceivable button but still can't seem to get the contrast changed to where it's readable.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Lacking an easy fix, does anybody have a recommendation for a replacement unit that won't force me to refinance the house?

My 08 has a contrast selection when pressing the button that controls treble, bass,Etc. the control goes from light contrast(number5 setting) to heavy contrast at the number 1 setting.

I'll try it again tomorrow. Probably didn't see a contrast control because I couldn't read the screen!

I changed to blue LEDS in the mp3/cd Head unit, and its perfect in the brightest daylight. At night the texts are a little washed because of the brightness of the Blue LEDs though

I have an '09 HB with the stock radio that somes with the power package, and I have no contrast problems. I can see the radio in any light. Only time I have issues is when I wear my polarized sunglasses, because if I tilt my head to the left the display blacks out
