i need suggestion and photos for the lip then ill get him in here. once everything is in we'll do a POLL..

option 1 plz
Crandall

Option 1 you need JDM bumpers for it to fit. 03Z33 has that Aeroover so I'm sure he can vouch.

Well I suppose the idea is to adapt these designs to fit the fat USDM bumpers
I vote aeroover as well

I like that second one, the C-one lip
I am assuming that all these will be just made to fit USDM bumpers.

Oooooh I'd want that C-One lip.
lol perhaps we'd be able to get him to do a couple of different lips for different group buys?
marcus
05-19-2009, 12:23 PM
i need more photos of others..pls post other lip photos..
as for 2009 since its a different bumper. i can ask him or an 09 owner can talk to him in regards to it..but im sure rear bumper kit will match..
I also like the second one.

I don't know of many other lip kits other than Gialla and Damd. I think this is about it.
lilred08
05-19-2009, 04:29 PM
option 2 is to bulky but if it adapted smoother from bumper to lip i'd take that, otherwise i say option 1

I'm starting to really like the Modellista kit.
marcus
05-19-2009, 04:34 PM
i vote for aero over as well.. c-0ne is too agressive.. any little error will make fitting complicated.
modellista looks nice but it stick out more, dont want that on lowered car. more change on rubbing hills with it.

Do you know if we'd be able to do more than just one group buy?
marcus

i can ask him..he should be looking at this thread coz i just emailed it to nextmod..
mrbond

If there's enough interest in more than one lip/lip kit, I think we'd be able to do more than one group buy. Especially if the prices were reasonable.

yeah those im sure are the same, but those lips are JDM, so the lip has to extend another few inches, that's all :P im just used to saying USDM. maybe i'll say NADM from now on. hahaha.

i like the C-one just dont know how i feel about losing the fogs
mrbond
05-20-2009, 01:08 PM
^ with the C-One lip you'd be able to keep your fogs. It doesn't cover up the cutouts for them. It's kinda like the Kaminari lip, where it'll go into those cutouts a bit just for aesthetic's sake.
marcus

to replace fogs u have to go behind it inside the bumper , open the cover underneath the car.

05-20-2009, 01:29 PM
^ yup. Lips generally are designed with the least amount of interference possible. Otherwise there wouldn't be too much interest in them.
I've got no clue why lips by Gialla, Kenstyle, and Modellista aren't more popular. Maybe it's a regional thing.

marcus,
This is from the Canada forum
In looking at the nextmod site, I see that Honda lips range from 120-200 USD.
Would pricing for Yaris be comparable depending on style? We need to know approx. $s before you're going to get commitment in the 10-15 range.
thats true..he just need to see people interested before he start molding ofcourse we have to discuss the price if its reasonable..before he goes thru with it.. any question pls email nextmod.com
Here you were stating he wants to basically guage interest. Now it sounds like there must be commitment. Which is it? If it is commitment, then we definitely need to know price, and exactly what look he is going to produce.

just got his email just now..i thought he can make his own or maybe mold it off my car..but his saying that atleast 10 people has to commit and order before he can order the original design for him to copy...i dont think i can get people to do that..plus seems like there will be an issue on fitting for usdm/canadian vs jdm kit.
damn it i keep forgetting to ask how much would it be..
TheRealEnth
05-20-2009, 08:49 PM
Well once you throw down a possible price, Im pretty sure you can get 10 people to commit to it. A lot of people are interested, As long as the fitting can be fixed.

booo. The JDM bumpers are shorter overall. The USDM/CAN bumpers have a larger bumper support, therefore the bumper has to be longer by about maybe 2 inches. just copying the existing lip will be complete FAIL. He wont sell more than a handful of these lips if just copies them.
