I dont' have an alarm but I heard that I could buy an LED and wire it up to the car so when the engine is off, it blinks. Basically a simple theft deterant. I know, it's not much but if someone sees a blinking LED + steering wheel, lock, they'll move on to something easier. Anyone know where I can tap into the 12V so I can make this happen?

From what I have read on Street Glow is the following. (Not positive)

Attach a 16 guage speaker wire from your car battery to 5 AMP fuse within 18 inches of the battery, and from the fuse to a switch inside your car (you may have to ground the switch) and then more 16 guage speaker wire from the switch to the LED light (you may have to ground again).

Then when you leave your car just flip the switch and your LED should go on.

ETA: 16 guage speaker wire.

My $20 e-bay Audiovox alarm comes with LED and is a simple 3 wire hook up.
Might be better then just a flashing light.

yeah, i would say go with something similar to above, you can get useable alarm systems for a very reasonable price, might even want to have a look at wal-mart, or similar for a simple alarm like above,or buy from a fellow yarisworld memeber :)
