Michelin Harmony

Anyone have good experience with these tires? I really wanted Hydroedge but they did not make our size, so I went with Harmony. I really, really like them.

my wife has them on her car they have about 45,000 on them and look like they have more tread on them than my NEW TOYO proxy 4's really wish i had spent the extra cash and put them on mine

I'm looking at a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto's. 205/40/17's. Anybody familiar with these?

I have them in the stock size 185/60R15. The ride is much better than the Potenza RE92. Dry and wet weather traction is excellent for Northern California conditions. Braking is also wonderful. I chose them for the long tire wear (Treadwear Grade: 740) and of course it from Michelin. Give or take, I'll have them for about 80000 miles. Lastly, my fuel efficiency is not affected.

They are pricey but I bought them when Costco had their tire sale and also added Michelin's manufacturer rebate.

If you want trouble free tires, go with Michelin.

Note: The photo of the Michelin Harmony at Tire Rack is misleading. It shows four channels on the tire. The 185/60R15 only has three channels.

so far i'm not really impressed with the proxys, but then again i really don't have anything to compare them to i was ridin on the stock Bridgstones

i'm sure the proxies4 are better than the RE92's, especially on wet.

I have to say, for our cars, the Michelin Harmony is really a great tire. They skid a little when you blast it around a sharp corner, ut it is a controlled skid.

We use them for the rear tire of our Honda ST1300 motorcycles I believe.

I have a Hankook Ventus V12 K1100 on the back of mine.

A few years back, I used a set of set of Michelin Pilot Exaltos on my Celica. It was a commuter car and I needed all weather tires. I basicaly liked them.

However, the absolute best set of tires I ever ran on the Celica was a set of Bridgestone "Potenza RE960AS Pole Position" (all weather) tires that I had on it up until I sold the Celica. They were quiet/smooth running, held the road better than anything I had on it and were amazing in snow and rain. They also come in a 205/40/17 size.
They are not cheap but, worth every penny IMO.

I read that the Harmony is quiet but a bit sloppy on winding roads. What you gain in comfort you lose in control.

Really? Is that the general feeling about them?

When I replaced the crap OEM tires on my Yaris, the Harmonys were not available in my area in the stock size and every area dealer had them back ordered.

However, the Yokohama Avid TRZ were available at a much cheaper price.
So, I got those instead.
The Yokohamas are somewhat noisiy but, they do hold the road pretty well and give very good control.

I have a Harmonys on mine that have about 20K miles on them. They have worked just fine. I will probably replace them with the same if they give me 60K or more.
