What's in Groton?

Sorry, I know nothing about a place called Groton, CT.
But in a couple weeks I'll have to go there for some training.
Any of you in the area recommend any good places to eat, sightsee, relax, and eat some more?
I've been looking at Google maps as my guide.

groton...groton...not much there. lol. uhh..submarines and stuff. stop by mystic to see the aquarium, or drive up a bit..like an hr to hit up the casino lol...that's all i know..oh, you can see all of RI in maybe a day or 2 and meet up with some of us! (if time permits...maybe)

shit, compared to hawaii, groton is the boonies, man. anything fun will most likely be an hr away, providence, mohegan sun, new haven, lol....mystic is maybe your best bet on some life....but before 9pm! hahaha
