Obviously I would want the engine compartment one cause its easier to install, but what if I by it ad it wont work. Can I exchange it at Micr-Imge for the other verion? Is tere any wy to telll by the VIN? Mine is an 09 3D LB.

Both NST SSKs work with the 09 LB... I have both installed on mine.

Well it will fit fine. As everyone said in our 09, Toyota decided to change the linkage a bit, and I guess I'm having the revised version of it, but with little modification, it worked great. If you are thinking about buying one, mine might be for sale cuz I might change it to TWM one cuz it is 2.5" shorter in length for the shifter itself, that way it will make my shift boot to mate my knob good without cutting it down to eliminate the gap in between, see the gap between my knob and boot, you know what I'm talking about. Let me know what you think?

I have the in cabin ssk installed. How much shorter are the throws with the piggy (under intake) ssk?

on my 09 i had to shave some material to get it to slide on all the way but it works great

I am running the In cabin SSK11 and love it , which ever one you get ,
you won't regret it , or as some have done by both. :thumbup:

check out Dr. Isotope's short shifters. I have one and I love it. Cable bushings, shifter cage bushings, and shorter shifter shaft all for $120.
