My wife is from Thailand. I did not see many Yaris' there when I went in May. The corrolla sure is popular with the taxi drivers.

You didn't see many of Yaris 'coz of the "price"
it seems to be expensive if you compare with Honda Jazz, Fit.
However, Honda launches Jazz on two blocks of engine. One is
I-DSI with 88 HP and the other is VTEC with 110 HP. Surely,
Yaris is more expensive than I-DSI but not VTEC ... and Yaris
just got out in the early of this year ... :thumbup:

Tik also said they make alot of Toyota parts in Thailand. Do they make the Yaris there or import it?

It's made here in Thailand ... and I am not sure about the quality
.. there are some cases of water leaking as well. Luckily, not mine.

Yaris' aren't built in Thailand, they're built in Japan.
Toyota Hiluxes are built in Thailand.

I am sure Yaris selling in Thailand are assembled
in Thailand ... all parts may not be built in Thailand, though.

hmmz...dunno about that one...i questioned my dealer about it and they said that all yaris' (for the world) are built in japan - hence the long wait . . . maybe its different if you're on the same continent, but my yaris is coming from japan...

europian yari are made in europe...maybe you need to find a better informed dealer ;)

My front + side + rear lips is made in Thailand.

From what you see on my front disc brake, it is just a caliber cover
which can be easily bought in Thailand as well, $25 estimatelly w/installation.
