Who can say? Depends upon which consortium gets better subsidies. So far the Chinese and other Asians seem to be buying more Boeing craft but things could change.
I've been told that the A380 is too large to land at many airports. Oh well.

what is the Achilles heel of A380 is the delays and problems with production ( the French team and German teams had different software versions and delays occurred as one example).
Fedex ordered 3 A380 and then cancelled the order to switch to 10-12 787, Airbus wasn't able to guarantee delivery (ironic yes it is lol)
Here's one reason why they're cautious about software....

French design some damn good software.... Dessault makes "Solid Works", which is a commonly used design station, it's bloated and cranky but can do some amazing stuff. They also created "Eiffel" as an experiment in fully object oriented technology.
German software..... they have some odd ideas in Germany.
