I might sound like a complete idiot on this thread and maybe I am when it comes to the round things that make are cars roll but here we go..

I'm currently in the process of refinishing some early mazda miata wheels, 14/5.5 +45. I'll be using a 175/65/14 tire. And to get these on in the front I'm going to need some spacers, as they rub the caliper, I'm thinking of 5 or 10mm leaning towards the 5mm. First off is this possible with this offset? Second, with the 5mm will I need to install extended studs? 3rd, is Ichiba a good brand? And lastly will a 5mm look ok with 10mm Penguin Rears?

Don't buy Ichiba. Buy Penguin for the rear and H&R for the front (since they make a 5mm version).

5mm front / 10mm rear will look just fine.

5mm front will give you an effective +40 in the front, which is fine with your 175 series tires.

Do you offer the 5mm? If not who does for a good price?

What is wrong with Ichiba? Just curious, i have never used them.

I have had great luck with Project Kics.

That would be my question too but, I'm finding H&R's at only $10 more then the Ichiba.

Go for the 13mm Pinguin on the back and 10mm H&R's up front.

With such skiny wheels you WON'T have a problem... You could even go a little wider if you would like. And you car will benefit from the wider stance...

... 175 tires?? Are you an hypermiler?? Go for a 185/60 tire.
