FYI, I had the opprotunity to drive the 2011 Ford Fiesta. It was a very nice little car. Full report below:

Didn't read your write-up yet, but that's one ugly car - it may be just the ugly graphics that ruin it - but it's a bit too long IMHO.

Maybe it's just the graphics. It's about the same size as the Yaris ...

Paint it Silver, Give it Black Wheels, Blackout Windows, Tails, Give it Black Projectors it would look alot better.

Really? Seriously, that thing looks huge! (as Tiny Elvis would say)

I can't wait to test one of these out. Now if only they'd bring the Focus ST to North America I'd be a happy man.

Great write up.

Thanks.

Like I said in the article, until you get up next to a car, it's hard to get a real idea of size. But trust me: The Fiesta is nothing near huge. FYI, my car is lowered on coilovers, yet the Fiesta's roofline is a about the same if not a bit lower.

The car looks nice . The wheels are hideous . Nice write up BTW :w00t:

I've been very interested in the new Fiesta since seeing drawings a few years ago. When GM brought the Opel/Vauxhall Astra over here, I thought they had a winner, but the lousy engine we wound up getting killed it for me. Hopefully Ford won't ruin the domestic version we will get over here. Thanks for passing along the article.

There's a bit of me that hopes GM will bring over the Opel Corsa, the Astra's smaller cousin. Corsa vs. Fiesta would be interesting ...

No kidding, it weighs about two hundred pounds less than the Yaris!

I agree that the Opel/Vauxhall Corsa would be really nice to have over here. Small is cool in my book.

Doesn't the Corsa have something like a 1.6L turbo or something? I assume the turbo is on the VXR version...

Yes, the Corsa OPC is available with a turbo: 1.6-liter 192hp. Want.

Yep, there's a two door hatch over in Europe. I'm not sure if we're gonna get it over here...

Ha! I met them in the wal-mart parking lot in Wenatchee, wa yesterday. Told them about you and our site here. Didn't mention anything though that they went to the cruise I missed out on. It is really sharp inside, and I'm lowered 2" and it sits about the same height, and really is about the same size. It does look good I think. The people also get free gas for the 6 months they get to drive the car around.

sorry I haven't called back, Brandon. We were at a wedding all weekend.

Was it Brad and Emma (http://www.followthefiesta.com) or someone else?

Not comming to Canada until the spring of 2010 as a 2011 model. Thats what the Ford dealer told me.
