2009 Body Part difference

Hey all,
I've been searching around and I seem to be getting inconsistent answers on compatible body parts for 2009 Yaris 3dr - especially from Ebay dealers!
From what I understand, the front bumpers are different due to the curve near the lights, but will a front lip spoiler for pre-09 fit a 2009 bumper?

How about these parts?
Hood
Rear hatch
Sideskirts
Rear Bumper
Rear Spoiler
Mirrors
Front Fenders
Doors

I'm also asking in case I get in a wreck or if my future DIY bodywork ideas take a bad turn and I need a replacement.

generally facelifts don't change any metalwork, but make their changes in light and bumper shape.

someone please correct me if this is not the case with the yaris.

How about these parts?
Out if those parts, I would say that the only change is with the rear bumper, but the change isn't dramatic.

here is whats different when i compares mine to a buddys.

front bumper, rear bumper, headlight, tail lights are different. you cannot fit a lip from a pre-09 model on there as the bumpers shaft has also changes just a slight amount. a foglight kit from a pre-09 will not work unless you buy the 09 bezels. the front mudflaps will fit from any year but the rears will not (must get 09 rear flaps). all of these are what i have found to be different on my 09 vs other 08s

the ssk will work if you shave some of the material off the lip where it goes over the arm (i had to as well)

The 2010 seats are the same as 09, with the exception of the headrest angle (that was listed in the new car features for 2010). I am not sure if they actually changed the headrest shape, or just the angle it is mounted at.

Enviri would be the person to check with, as he just traded his 08 for a 2010 and was going to move his Clazzios to it.

Just keep your old one, and slap a turbo on it. My 2010 (same motor as yours... duhh) is horribly underpowered, and with 2010 went away the option for TCS... now mandatory.

I have a 07, so basicallay all i need to make mine a 09 is

headlights,front bumper, rear bumper, and rear tails... Sideskirts, hood and front fenders are the same

^ No. Front and rear bumpers changed in '09+, the headlights are not compatible at all, and older tails stick out on an '09+ bumper.

I ordered the front two headlights from logical-source.com for an 09 model and the shipment came in today. It was an 08 model with additional mounting holes to match the newer model. Should I even attempt to see if it fits or return it?

I'm pretty sure the 09+ Yaris headlights were the same shape as the previous years but they added DRLs. The Tail lights on the LB are slightly different on the 09+ models. If you put the 07 tail lights (For example the RS lights) on the 09+ models they will sort of hang over the bumper towards the hatch.

The inside edge of pre'09 headlights are a straight line front to back. '09 to '11 curve inward slightly mid point.

Good info! Now we know we also need headlights if we want to install a post 09 front bumper on a pre 09 car... The post 09 RS bumpers are very appealing to me.

i may have found a source thats still making the hatches and hoods in CF for about 300$, so i want to be dead nuts sure before i pull the trigger, im looking for weight savings only..and the parts WILL GET PAINTED...found front doors too but 1200 for a pair is painfull

OK but would the 2008 style bolt on the 2010 car?

I have always wanted Projectors on my 2010, but they only come 07/08 Style...

Wife Whacked a Deer, so full 2008 nose will be going on the car, I realize the lower bumper "support/push bar" is also likely different, but I need to know if there is anything to do with mounting 2008 lights on the 2010 that is different? Or will I have to change the upper radiator support or whatever?

2008 bumper covers and headlights are direct bolt on to a 2010. Rad supports, crash bars, tow hook location are all the same.
