hey guys

any of you with Teins have your coilovers long enough to have them serviced or any reports on how they wear ?

reason why i asked is i went on a breakfast run on sunday , hit a bump in the road , was only going about 45 km/h so not fast , but feels like the front shocks are a bit spongy , im not sure if its just my imagination ? the damping adjustment still seems to work though , its more like when i take the corners now that the front shocks over extend , im not sure if its just in my mind ??

they seem to have lost a little stiffness or rebound.

i mean , the Teins are suppose to be able to take some kind of abuse being high perfomance ?

any ideas ??

yo Thomas , you got Super compacts on , how you find them ??

sorry, no experience with TEIN here. Have you inspected them for leaks?

no prob bro.

no i havent yet , will be getting it on the lift the weekend , then hopefully be able to see if anything is wrong , but i cant see how the Teins cant take a little bit of a beating , i mean they high performance coilovers , should be able to take a knock.

what colour is shock oil usually ?

It's green, like zombie blood.

Nah, j/k. As far as i know, it's just like any other oil.

I know tein can service their coilovers here in the USA, but i don't know about your part of the world.

I'm not sure if this info is still correct but my friend had his teins revalved for different springs. It's fairly expensive but he had a sponsor discount.

contrary to popular belief, TEIN NOT quality. it's overhyped garbage.

good luck in your search though. i suggest calling Tein USA and hoping you get someone who's helpful to talk to you about rebuilding. my bet is that they'll tell you they have to ship them to japan for repair

KW V3's are definitely the Bee's Knees for the yaris (and i'm jealous!)

lol !! i bet those Teins get given a good workout ;-)

how much milage have you done on your Teins already ?

have you hit alot of hard bumps ? did you feel your suspension get a little softer as it got "ridden in " ?

i wonder if my wheel alignment can cause a slight funny feeling on the wheels ?
