Hello fellow Yaris owners! This is my first post :)

I have a 2009 Hatchback and unfortunately the antenna broke off (half). I see on eBay I can buy a new one in the $5-20 range. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy one and what kind? Also, can I put the new on on myself or do I need to go to the dealership? Any idea how much they would charge?

Thanks! Chip

Well I got my replacement stubby antenna from stubbyantenna.com (http://www.stubbyantenna.com/) I don't have a pic of it installed on this PC but I got the black 'J' pull-out style for $13 shipped. I think it looks really good, personally, and the reception is fine. They have full size antennas there too. Any ways, I hope this helps, and Welcome to YarisWorld!

The antenna simply screws on and off, so unscrew the one you have an install a new one (making sure it is the same thread pattern!).

A few folks have actually trimmed their stock antennas down to the base, something you may want to consider...

Maybe it's covered under warranty.

Maybe it's covered under warranty.

Warranties usually don't cover accidents. I doubt the antenna broke in half due to a malfunction or defect...

The antenna unscrews....so when I go to the car wash for the 1st time I can easily remove it so it wont get caught in the machinery? Im wondering how that thing holds up in the wash!
