Hi 2 all,

I have a Yaris Sedan Auto brand new. There has been a rattling sound( it's source is not clear) when I use reverse gear since one month ago. I deicde to take it to the dealer but I want to know where is the source of this sound.

Does anybody have a similar experience? Could it be serious?

P.S.

It is not coming from dashboard or glovebox. It SEEMS to come from steering box, though I cant be sure.

There used to be an issue with some rattling like that on auto's on 2007's, not sure about the other years. The solution was the owners taking it to the dealership and they would fix it, pretty much using a zip tie to hold a few of the cables underneath the car together.

And I swear, I think it's the hubcaps! Something to do with that weird tension wire on the inside of hubcaps?

sometimes mine makes a weird noise like opening a "snapple" cap of a bottle when I first put it in reverse. Not every time, but once in awhile. :iono:
