Up for sale is a pair of Brembo calipers from a 2007 Mitsubishi Evolution. Unexpected medical expenses are forcing me to sell these. If any of you have been paying attention to the progress of the makeshift big brake kit, you'll see that these are the Brembos I was talking about. Vten doesn't seem to want them, so I'm selling these to whoever wants to make a BBK with Brembo calipers. These require 320mm rotors, the exact same size of the rotors Garm sells on microimage.com. Brand new, the pair is a little over a grand. Since these need powdercoating, new spring clips, and new dust boots, I'm selling these for $250 shipped obo. Thanks for looking!

You know, I was researching my ass off how to rebuild these, and it's actually stupid simple. I have links to very detailed photo DIYs from Evo owners rebuilding these exact same calipers. If you want I could direct you to those links, as well as the links to where to find these required parts. All the research is done, you just need to act upon them :P

^ who's making what? The kit, the replacement parts, or the calipers? The kit you can make yourself, the parts are made by Girodisc and Brembo, and the calipers are made by Brembo.

^ good idea!
Well, for the parts, the replacement dust boots and/or piston seals can be found at www.girodisc.com and the springs and clips can be found at http://www.turbowholesale.com/_searc...age=1&q=Brembo under "front springs and clips" about a quarter of the page down. After everything's said and done, these'll still be cheaper than new calipers by a good deal.

need to know, and this is critical, what WIDTH rotor those calipers are made for.

These calipers are designed for a rotor 30mm thick.
the oversize rotors from Garm is 21.86mm thick if it helps.

I think they would require custom rotors then, but i'm not 100% positive about that (not a brake tech).

Are these the same as the subaru brembos?

Not really. The STI Brembo calipers have a cotter pin setup to keep the pads in. These require pressure pins. Other than that, same design.
