Hi guys, I was talking to my friend(been doing custom exhaust for Bimmer 335I) who can do custom SS exhaust or midpipe for us. I wonder if any of you guys interested in replacing the midpipe?
As all you guys know, most of the JDM brands don't offer catback exhaust system for our car. We have to either custom made our midpipe or to buy aftermarket one, but there is NOT alot of choices out there right. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the other brand is not good, but I kinda want to get something different, might be less resonator, only one resonator, catless all the way, custom size piping for the SC or turbo guys, 200 cell metal high flow cat that can get better performance and still pass smog in CA, any ideas? Remember I'm not selling anything in here, but want to see if there is enough ppl interested, so that I can talk to my friend to become a vendor to offer this kind of exhaust system.

I could be interested, depending on price and features.
Im not interested if it's not going to have a resonator though (not interested in being a cop magnet).

When the poll close, I should have better idea of what to tell my friend to make and price of course?

It would have to offer something different than the Nitto midpipe, either by being cheaper or having different features.

The Nitto midpipe we sell has three resonators and keeps the exhaust sound within reason in terms of loudness. If what you make is louder, it better make power, so make sure you dyno before and after so you have a selling point.

If you include a cat, it's going to be an expensive purchase, and you'll have prove it passes smog (if that's your selling point).

That's my $.02 to help you create something people will buy.

Thanks Garm for the advice. I'm not trying to sell anything here, but just my thought that I might be able to offer our guys another option of what they want their midpipe will be since I know this friend who can custom made the pipe for me. Thanks alot.
